Ann Curry
Ann Curry is a photojournalist, journalist and author who has reported on areas of war for over more than 45 years. Her research focuses on the human suffering of disasters and human tragedy. Curry was a journalist in war-zones such as Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of the city of Agana) was an American TV anchor, reporter as well as a journalist. Her most renowned work was as a correspondent on The Today Show, a morning news program that was broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry became known in particular for her reporting of catastrophes caused by natural causes and humanitarian crises that took place in war-ravaged regions. Curry was the child of a U.S. Navy sailor and a Japanese woman. Her father met the mother of her in Japan as a stationed there following World War II. Because of her father's work in the military, they moved a lot. Curry graduated from high school at Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her an undergraduate degree in journalism. The diversity of her experiences and experiences during her upbringing probably influenced her way of communicating on global issues. Curry attended various schools which included San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia and Virginia. Ashland is where she finally finished the high school. As an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregon she began her career in the field of broadcasting. She was the first female anchor for the station when she was 22. In Portland, Oregon she was made an anchor and reporter by KGW the NBC affiliate. In the course of four years, she was hired as an anchor by KCBS TV in Los Angeles. Through her KCBS-TV relationship of six years, she was awarded two Emmy Awards.
